Driving Directions to College of Architecture

To reach campus, you can follow the routes listed above. Eventually, you should be arriving on University Drive, either coming from highway 21/47 (if coming from Austin) or from Highway 6 (if coming from Houston/Dallas). University Drive runs along one edge of campus. To reach the parking lots, follow the instructions below once you are on University Drive.

Directions to parking lots: There are two lots you can use for parking: Lot 54 and Lot 51. Lot 54 is closer but occasionally fills up. To reach these lots, you should turn into campus off of University onto onto Bizzel Street. Coming from Austin, this will be after you have passed most of campus, and you will turn right. Coming from Houston/Dallas, this will be one of the first streets (2nd light) after crossing Texas Avenue, and you will turn left.

Click here for a map showing the directions below.

To reach lot 51, take the first left off Bizzell street. Parking lot 51 will be on the right. You may park in any slot EXCEPT those marked "Reserved" - there is a small lot of almost all reserved spaces just before lot 51.

To reach lot 54, continue to the end of Bizzell Street, and turn right. Then make an almost immediate left into parking lot 54. Again, you may park anywhere that is not marked "Reserved."

Note: Parking is free in the lots only on Saturdays and Sundays.

Anyone driving in on weekdays should use either the North Side Garage or the Central Campus Garage (slightly closer to the venue). Click here for information on Visitor Parking on campus, including maps showing the locations of the various garages. There is a fee to park in these garages. (The Williams Admin Building shown on the map is right next to the Langford Building.)

The SMI'12 conference activities center will be the Langford Architecture Building B Auditorium. This is located in the small building directly in-between the H. R. Bright building (Computer Science) and the Langford Architecture Building C housing the Viz Lab. The entrance to the Auditorium is on the side facing Langford Building C.
